Explaining Locations
The purpose of the Locations subforum is to allow in-character posting at several different areas.
Roleplay in this subforum is primarily slice-of-life for casual in-character interactions.
Participants have no wordcount they need to adhere to,
but it's encouraged that posters try to keep the pace of their conversations snappy(no months between responses).
For more information on participation, please check our HELP subforum.

▶One Location & Traveling
A single character can only be active in one location at a time.
Characters will have to move from one location to the next.
Due to this, it's accepted that the central hub is the 'Apartment' thread. The exception is if you're participating in a 1x1 roleplay.
Characters currently prosecuting or defending in an active trial can't be posting in Locations while on the stand.

▶Sprites
It's encouraged that all participants utilize sprites in their posts in order to emulate the visual novel feel of the games.
If you're unsure of how to get started, please see this thread about getting your sprites in order.

▶Dropped Conversations
With slice-of-life, there's no set introduction or finale. When a conversation naturally fizzles out with another
character and some time passes, you can always re-enter your character as though it's been a new day.
The rule of thumb is that important conversations between characters will be 'suspended' in time for however long it takes
for the conversation to complete, while general interactions will go on a day-to-day basis. If you're not sure how it works, try lurking a little.

▶Murder
If you're playing a character who plans on assaulting, murdering or otherwise breaking the law in
a significant way that will affect another character, you must get permission from the victim before you do so.
It's recommended to not go killing anyone unless you've got a firm grasp of the environment that you're in, though...

▶Spreading Thin
Please utilize the central hub location("Apartment") as much as possible.
Having characters spread between too many locations at one point is unhealthy for character interactions.
Niche locations such as transportation rides(cars, planes), siderooms, alleyways, basements, bedrooms, specific jailcells,
and anywhere that could be considered 'private' should be in the 1x1 forum.
Restaurants, studios, hospitals, and other 'public' areas should be in Locations.
Out of country locations such as Borginia, Zheng Fa, and Khura'in should all be handled in1x1.
The main setting is Los Angeles.
