Apollo is waiting quietly in his vehicle after receiving a call for a pick up. He taps his fingertips idle-ly on the steering wheel while he waits for his passenger, with no one thought in particular on his mind. It's been a long day and the night is sure to feel longer. He lays his head back on the head rest and closes his eyes momentarily.

Klavette storms up to the car. She takes a seat with an audible huff, flips down the sunvisor, and primp herself. Only when she's done does she finally address him:
" Ahh, what a coincidence! It's you again, Herr Justice! "
" It is you, right? Not some other Justice that looks like you and drives the same car? "

Apollo is quite patient as Klavette takes the time to primp herself up. He opens his eyes and gazes at her from the corner of his eye while doing something on his phone momentarily. Most likely setting up the GPS.
"Nope, It's me. I doubt there are any other Apollo's who do this for a job."

" None of them have that chiseled demeanor that you do, I see. "
" Ugh. Club Silencio. But... if you have other things to do on the way, I'm not in any rush. " This sounds like another 'take the long way' requests. It paid off spectacularly the last time. Justice even got a five star review! 'I'll ride with him anytime... ♥ ' She starts going through her purse.

Long way again?
Sure thing.
This seems like it's starting to turn into a routine. Apollo brings up the location of the club on the GPS and sets the longest route once again. He doesn't normally have other stops to go to when on the job so she will just have to make do with him taking the scenic route to the location. Satisfied they are ready to head off he pulls out and begins the drive. He begins small talk like normal.

" Ahh, it's all right. I know the guy who owns it, he's nice. It may not be your kind of place, Herr Justice. It is loud, rowdy, and a little dirty... if you know what I mean. " She pulls a cigarette case from her handbag. Unfortunately when she flips it open, it's empty.
" I can't even do this today-- do you have a smoke? "
Post by Apollo Justice on Oct 13, 2019 0:48:35 GMT -5
"Fair enough. Here."
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his case of smokes, offering it to her. Normally he wouldn't offer his cigarettes to his clients but he felt he could make an exception this time around. She really looked like she could use it. She was right about Apollo not being huge on clubs. However, he does occasionally pop into them. It didn't hurt to hear about the place.

Her gloved fingers purposely graze his as she slides the case away from his grasp. Apollo can feel the warmth of her hand from beneath the latex shell.
" You're a doll, Herr Justice. " She rolls down the window just a hair. Enough to flick ashes but not enough to put her do in jeopardy.
" Achh--I just hate it. Mein producer, bless his soul, just drops this in my lap - does not give me a day to prepare, barely gives me any insight as to what I am doing, and expects me to jump as soon as he says! 'Princess this' - I am not a trained little puppy! It is basic respect, ja? To tell me if you have suddenly set something up for me? Unbelievable ... I am so sick of his shit! " She sinks into her seat, the combination of nicotine and a rant soothing the nerves. Smoke blows from pursed lips like steam from a kettle, and it disappears through the window.
" I am already tired and the night hasn't even begun. Haha - ahh. "

His eyes peek toward their hands when he feels the warmth of her hand linger a pinch bit longer than expected. She slides the case from him and begins to crack a window. He directs his attention back onto the road and listens to her rant about her producer. He doesn't even stop himself from being blunt with his words.
"Did you tell him where to stick it? As the creator, he can't really go too far without you." ... "In a manner of speaking, that proverbial leash he has can't be that short can it? You are your own woman after all and should at least have a say in what kind of contracts and deals you work in." Maybe don't tell your producer off that might end badly.

" I'd love that. I'd just walk in - Roddie, baby, I'm not working that, I'm not doing this. " Klavette says this wistfully, as though she'd already dismissed it as a fantasy. It wasn't that easy - she wishes it could be that easy. If he wanted it, she'd never work again. If he wanted it, she'd be such a no-name deadbeat loser, they wouldn't even want her at bingo halls. She'll never do it. She'll never let that happen to her. Not after the work she put in. Her name in lights, sold-outshows, on the covers of magazines, at the top of charts - over Klavier Gavin, even. That's what she's earned, that's what the world owes her, and she'll never give it up.
Nobody will take it from her either, but that's a different subject.
" It's not that big of a deal. He's just doing what he thinks is best - performing there isn't all bad. The owner will appreciate it, anyway. " Klavette makes up excuses for Roger.
" Say... Herr Justice. Why not join me? When is the last time you spent a Saturday night having fun? "

He listens to her wistful tone while keeping his eyes focused on the road. The way she speaks as if it's a distant fantasy. Apollo is familiar with Roger Retinz (I mean, who isn't? He IS the biggest name in paradox entertainment after all) so he guesses he can see where she is coming from.
"That's fair enough."
".........."
It is then she invites him to join her at the club. This was not something he had even considered until she asked, if he actually had to be frank. Not that he would though. He genuinely is considering it as he isn't the type to just "go out and have fun" due to working all the time. A small break from driving the vehicle wouldn't hurt and scoping out the club wouldn't really hurt either.
"Sure. Why not."

" Really? Oh, you'll love it! I will get you VIP seats. " She twitters excitedly. If there's one thing in the world Klavette loves, it's people paying attention to her. Having a cold and unsociable man paying attention to her is a victory in her book. In the meantime, she's taken a small bag from her purse. Justice can hear an aggressive sniff, and she shudders out a sigh that tickles his ears.
" Lieblich~! Achtung! Mein gott - aha-- ... ah."
" Justice! I've changed my mind, let's get there a little quicker, hmm? I'll let you run the timer for the entire show if you get me there in five. "
" Let's see you drive - I bet you're as good behind the wheel as you are good-looking--ahaha. "

" Hell yeah! Ride like the wind, baby! " Multiple traffic violations - well, what's going to happen? Daryan going to chase them down in his beat-up jalopy? A lecture from Fulbright(wouldn't be the first...)? Klavette latches onto the bitch bar in the car's roof to keep herself from slinging around too much, but she's all too eager to be a bad influence: Faster, Justice! Don't be afraid of the curb! Yellow's speed up, you know? Haha..

His focus remains on the road as he expertly navigates the streets with a finesse that comes with experience. He's done this plenty of times before and this probably won't be his last. Klavette squeals in excitement in the seat beside him and for the first time in a very long time he felt a small satisfaction in his actions. He drifts into a parking space at the club and puts the vehicle in park, checking his phone for the time. Two minutes and fifty four seconds. He beat his estimate thanks to blazing through yellows and greatly timed drifts. He adjusts his glasses before turning his gaze to klavette, mostly to gadge her reaction.
